Government Digital Services (GDS,) have published their findings after performing some automated tests on the most inaccessible website in the world. The survey contains problem areas faced by a wide range of user groups, and highlights the difficulties which cause barriers to accessing online content. To add to the extensive portfolio of services Digital Accessibility Centre (DAC) already provide, we are today launching our Digital Accessibility Helpdesk. This service is an easy, affordable way to get answers quickly.
Our help desk will be manned by our In-house technical experts and members of our testing team who use assistive technology. They will be able to provide you with answers to your questions relating to accessibility of digital products, whether this is at build stage, go live or just around maintaining a good level of accessibility on your site.
HMRC Digital is looking for assistance from business owners (these are private limited companies with turnover below 632K per year but could also be charities or clubs) who file their own annual business accounts to companies house, and/or their HMRC corporation tax return online.
HMRC has built a new online service that allows smaller companies to file their annual accounts and their corporation tax return and we would like business owners who make use of accessibility equipment to try this out.
If you have already used this service we would like to speak to you about your experience. If you have not used this service but intend to make use of it in the future we would like to speak to you to see how well it meets your accessibility needs.
The Disability Action Alliance (DAA,) has published it’s latest findings from the Digital Inclusion Survey Report. This report will gauge the experiences of end users, and will use the findings to move forward for both service providers and end users respectively.
