To achieve certification each service undergoes a manual technical compliance review against WCAG 2.2 to level AA.
The service underwent both a technical compliance audit and robust end to end testing by users with a wide range of disabilities including blind, low vision, dyslexia, colour blindness, mobility impairments, learning difficulties, Deaf, Asperger and anxiety and panic disorder.
All testing is carried out in line with relevant platform specific guidelines, and where applicable, conforms with The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No.2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. Testing also conforms to Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Usability
- Change information - users were not taken to summary page after submitting a change.
- Links (Out of context) - link text may not be descriptive of its purpose to some users.
- Error messages - summary messages did not follow the GOV.UK Design System.
- Language selector positioning - the selector is placed within the footer of the page.
- Dragon Interaction - interactive elements were not compatible with Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
- Back to Top - users would benefit from a feature to skip back to the top of some pages.
- Link instead of a button - elements which appeared visibly as buttons were marked up as links.
- All Caps - input fields displayed text in uppercase which could be difficult for some users to read.
- Fieldset - form grouping was used when it was not necessary.
