The Digital Accessibility Centre (DAC) works with clients to create digital media that is accessible to all members of a population, and meets best practice accessibility standards and legislation.
Why work with us?
Between us we have over 30 years’ testing experience, working with clients such as Channel 4 and Nationwide on an on-going basis, and with many local authorities and non-profit organisations. We are a non-profit organisation and a social enterprise, and a living wage employer with a team who are passionate about digital inclusion.
What do we offer?
Working to the most up-to-date standards, such as the AA level of the W3C Web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, much of our work is customised to your requirements. We offer a personalised and flexible service, including design consultancy with imagery/wireframe review, template testing/review, audit and accreditation, consultancy/surgeries, user testing, training/workshops and policy creation/review.
Why you can trust us
All of our user testing team have a disability and know first-hand whether something is accessible to them or not. So whether we are looking at your website, intranet, internal application, mobile app, electronic TV programme guide or even a remote control, this robust testing allows us to be confident in our test results and reporting, and gives you peace of mind that you are accessible to all your customers.
How we support you
Reports and feedback you get from us give practical advice and support to solve any accessibility issues we uncover. Screen shots show exactly where the problems lie, and our user testers and technical auditors add their comments and suggestions for solutions. We then work with you to help make the required changes, or to find suitable alternatives.
